Another Side of Cuba: An American says it’s not What he Expected

Do you think that Cubans are poor, starving, desperate, oppressed, unhappy people because of what Fidel Castro brought to that island nation?  Do you think, as our government says, that the best thing for Cubans would be a return to how it was before Castro and the Revolution he headed kicked-out the U.S. puppet dictator Fulgencio Batista, as well as the U.S.Mafia, which controlled the casinos, and the United Fruit Company and other Corporations that had a vice grip on the Cuban economy  –and economy which fed just crumbs to the Cuban underclass?  If you have been conditioned to believe all that, you might want to take a listen to an American businessman fresh back from Cuba.  A businessman who wished to remain anonymous, during this interview with On-

The Mueller Investigations: Not enough to make it stick?

Rumors are flying in Washington about Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia.  Many expect the Mueller report to be released shortly, and many believe Mueller’s got the goods to nail the president of the United States.  Various news organizations are reporting in detail what Mueller has dug up so far. But is it enough to drive Donald Trump from office, and possibly put him in prison?  In a conversation with Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio New York, On-Target’s Larry Sparano says so far, the Mueller probe falls far short of what Trump’s critics are hoping will prove that the President allowed and even encouraged Russia to influence the election that got him elected to the highest office in the land:

Will He be the Next President of the United States?

Beto O’Rourke says he’s in.  He joins a growing field of Democratic contenders for the big prize.  Can he make it all the way to the White House his first time around?   On-Target’s Larry Sparano  and Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio New York discuss O’Rourke’s strengths and weaknesses as he aims high -very high:

Using “Anti-Semitism” to Crush Dissent

There is a movement afoot to shut down any sort of criticism of the current Israeli government and it’s hard-line policies on Palestinians by calling it “Anti-Semitism.”  And the U.S. Congress is going along with it.  It’s called BDS (Boycott Divestment Sanctions) and it would empower the Federal government to criminalize the actions of  any company, organization and even individual citizens who speak out critically of the Israeli government –equating such criticism with “Anti-Semitism,” and hate speech.   On-Target’s Larry Sparano says it’s an outrage, clearly against every citizen’s right to free speech, as guaranteed by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. And he warns, if this gets passed, where will it end?  Here’s his conversation with Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio New York:

The Price of Admission: How the Rich Get their Dumb Kids into College

It’s more that just a joke –merely a delicious scandal for the tabloids. Rich parents, including celebrities, CEO’s, even lawyers have been caught, allegedly paying bribes to college coaches and others to get their dumb kids into some of the nation’s most elite schools. How wide-spread is the scandal, how long has it been going on, and what are the serious consequences for the nation? Here’s On-Target’s Larry Sparano talking with Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio New York:

The New Robber Barons –Elizabeth Warren Wants to Break Them

Amazon, Facebook, Google…the internet giants that increasingly control our lives and the nation’s economy. We’ve been down this road before.  When the Robber Barons of the late 1800’s had a vice-grip on what drove the old industrial age.  Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass) says it’s time to attack the new monopolies, and we already have existing laws to make that happen.  Will such an effort succeed?  Here’s On-Target’s Larry Sparano, in conversation with Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio New York:

The Face of a Truth Teller: Obama’s “Hope and Change” a Mirage

Despite all the praise of all-things Obama from the liberal media, one of the brash new Democrats in Congress says it was all an illusion. And behind the “pretty face” and “polish,” was a president who, in many respects, conducted business as usual –in favor or war, Wall Street and the status quo. It’s much of the same type of business for which Trump is being constantly and intensely criticized. Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-Minnesota) complaints against President Obama are detailed in a new Politico report. On-Target’s Larry Sparano gives reasons why he strongly agrees with her, in this discussion with Kent Garrett of WIOX New York:

Will They Get Trump by Going after His Kids?

Accusations, outrage, Congressional hearings and investigations are flying fast and furious, now that the Democrats have control of the House in Congress.  But will the weight of all that really sink the Ship of Trump? Here’s an analysis with On-Target’s Larry Sparano, in conversation with Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio, New York:

Trump and Hannity

Trump’s “State News” –Just Fox, or All the Networks?

Trump and Hannity, pictured above: That pretty much says it all about the incestuous relationship between Trump and Fox News. In a recent article in the New Yorker magazine Jane Mayer details that relationship, which she says is the closest we’ve come to official “State News.” Here’s a discussion on that article between On-Target’s Larry Sparano and Kent Garrett of Wiox Radio New York:

Could Sanders Win in 2020? Don’t Write Him Off Just Yet

There is Increasing speculation about Bernie Sander’s chances of beating Trump in 2020.  While cynics were quick to dismiss his prospects following his announcement last week that he was running, some reassessment is already under way.  On-Target’s Larry Sparano says such second thoughts are valid, considering what the polls said about a Sanders-Trump match up, before  Hillary Clinton used the Superdelegates to snatch the nomination away from Sanders.
