Trump Biden Election: Orwell’s 1984?

Is it just another hard-fought election, or is it the beginning of a dire future for our nation? Conspiracy theories are rampant, but some observers say it is no theory –but rather a frightening indication of the shape of things to come. That’s the latest back-and-forth with Larry and Rack. Listen carefully, and see what you think:

Trump Cheered, Biden Jeered in Scranton Area Rallies

Another massive turnout for President Trump on Sunday in the battle ground state of Pennsylvania. It began in Wilkes-Barre where a huge mall parking lot was jammed, then after hours in the rain and cold, a number of Trumpites headed toward Scranton in a car caravan. There they regrouped at the Circle Drive-In in Dickson City, close to Biden’s boyhood home of Scranton. Here’s a sampling of some of the deep support for Donald Trump in Northeastern Pennsylvania:

Election 2020 Trump or Biden Newsman Picks A Winner

Former AP Newsman Bryant Thomas is fairly sure that Joe Biden wins the Presidency. That, despite the huge and enthusiastic crowds that are turning out for President Trump as he crisscrosses the nation in the final days of the campaign. But Reporter Larry Sparano is not so sure it will turn out that way. Here’s why there is a difference of opinions:

Gerald Celente: Who Wins the Presidency? And What Happens Then?

Famed Trends Forecaster Gerald Celente picks a winner in the race for the Presidency. But he warns of great trouble ahead, no matter who takes office. Hear the details in this interview with Larry Sparano:

Trump People at Biden Town Hall: What the Networks Didn’t Show!

What was missing from this week’s network coverage of Joe Biden’s appearance at a drive-in style”Town Hall” outside Scranton? It was video of the throngs of Trump supporters lining the road leading to the event. Their numbers far exceeded the relatively few who came to show support for the former vice-president who spent his boyhood in Scranton. You’re about to see just how strong the support for Trump was this past Thursday. The video was taken by two fans of the President, including James May who is running for the PA House of Representatives for the 114th District in Lackawanna County in which Scranton is located:

Kamala a Moderate? Trump Says No!

Lots of mainstream media are following the cue of the New York Times, in claiming that Kamala Harris is a “pragmatic moderate”. The apparent strategy in depicting her as such is to win the support of mainstream moderate Democrats in this year’s presidential election. But will Joe Biden’s pick for his running mate be able to convince voters that she is a centrist who shares their values? Beau of the “Fifth Column” says yes. Larry Sparano has doubts, as you’ll hear in this exchange with Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio New York:

Trump Masking Blame for Covid-19?

Is President Trump “masking” the blame he should be taking for not emphasizing –until lately– the importance of wearing a mask to prevent the spread of Covid-19? CNN’s Erin Burnett thinks so, and says it’s ridiculous that Trump is trying to shift the blame to governors and other officials of state and local governments. Will Trump’s disregard of masks lose him the 2020 election? That’s what Larry Sparano and Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio are talking about today:

Trump Losing Republicans?

The internet is full of postings from people claiming they are long-time Republicans who are not going to vote for Trump in this year’s election. They cite long lists of Trump’s actions and inactions which they say have made they decide to vote for Biden instead. But do such postings, which all sound very scripted, really represent what most Republicans are thinking? That’s what Larry Sparano and Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio New York are kicking around today:

Trump Losing Seniors? Maybe Not.

Will Trump, in 2020, retain the large portion of senior voters that helped him win the White House in 2016? Kyle Kulinski and other commentators say no. That’s because they will blame Trump for the spread of Coronavirus as well as for dips in the Stock Market. But in a conversation with Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio New York, Larry Sparano says the senior vote might remain with Trump for several very good reasons:

No Quick Recovery

All the upbeat news following last week’s latest jobs report does not reflect. Nor does it indicate that there will be a quick recovery ahead. Economist Richard Wolff says the dire consequences of the Covid-19 shut-down will become increasingly and painfully obvious in the months ahead. Larry Sparano discusses the factors that will keep the economy depressed with Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio New York.
