In her latest book, Dr. Anne Hendershott says too many politicians get votes by giving away to some constituents what they take away from others. Is it social justice, or a grave departure from the tenets of Christianity and the values that made American great? Dr. Hendershott, is professor of Sociology and Psychology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. Her many articles appear in The American Spectator and other publications. Listen here to her discussion with On Target’s Larry Sparano about the creeping dangers of socialism:
What signs of real, productive change has the Biden administration shown so far, now almost two months in office? And can any politician or political party break loose from the corporations that largely control them? That’s the topic of discussion in this Zoom meeting, which includes folks on the far left, the center, and some say, the far right. On Target’s Larry Sparano is one of the featured guests.
With Bernie Sanders now in the lead for the Democratic Nomination for President, there is increasing alarm in some circles regarding the Socialist “threat” to America. Is that just nonsense, or a real danger? A well-regarded historian and economist joins On Target’s Larry Sparano for today’s discussion. Here is Larry’s chat with Professor Lawrence Reed:
He’s back! The same Neocon who brought “Democracy” to other South American nations, is now in charge of doing the same to Venezuela. A look at the picture above says it all: Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announcing Abrams as the new Special U.S. Envoy to Venezuela. He’s the determined-looking fellow lurking to Pompeo’s right. Larry Sparano lays out in detail Abrams’ past atrocities, and his plans to make Venezuela safe for American interests. His discussion with Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio New York follows a report by Abby Martin of the Empire Files Podcast
There is Increasing speculation about Bernie Sander’s chances of beating Trump in 2020. While cynics were quick to dismiss his prospects following his announcement last week that he was running, some reassessment is already under way. On-Target’s Larry Sparano says such second thoughts are valid, considering what the polls said about a Sanders-Trump match up, before Hillary Clinton used the Superdelegates to snatch the nomination away from Sanders.
In his State of the Union address, President Trump vowed that America will never become a socialist nation. That seemed to be a shot at Bernie Sanders and the new Democrats who won their mid-term elections by calling for universal Healthcare, free education, higher taxes on the rich and other programs which many Republicans are quick to label as “socialism.” But would such programs really be socialism, and lead to the ruination of the country? An increasing number of Americans seem to think otherwise, as reflected in recent public opinion polls. Here’s On-Target’s Larry Sparano, in discussion with Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio New York:
