The Arab world is quickly condemning Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s win in Tuesday’s elections.  Arab critics say it represents just the latest obstacle to a just resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.  In his bid for an unprecedented fifth term, Netanyahu enjoyed  strong support from U.S. President Donald Trump, who talked about what a valuable ally Israel is for the United States.  But On-Target’s Larry Sparano thinks it goes deeper than that.  He explains his thinking in this exchange with Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio New York:

 

Using “Anti-Semitism” to Crush Dissent

There is a movement afoot to shut down any sort of criticism of the current Israeli government and it’s hard-line policies on Palestinians by calling it “Anti-Semitism.”  And the U.S. Congress is going along with it.  It’s called BDS (Boycott Divestment Sanctions) and it would empower the Federal government to criminalize the actions of  any company, organization and even individual citizens who speak out critically of the Israeli government –equating such criticism with “Anti-Semitism,” and hate speech.   On-Target’s Larry Sparano says it’s an outrage, clearly against every citizen’s right to free speech, as guaranteed by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
