Kids in Cages: Who’s to Blame for Border Back-up?

Over the Fourth of July weekend there were lots of comments about the “shaming” of our nation on its birthday.  The shame, many said, was reflected in the “inhumane” conditions at the U.S. border with Mexico.  Trump critics say the blame can be laid directly at the White House doorstep.  But On-Target’s Larry Sparano says it’s more complicated than that.  Much of it, he says, has to do with the broadening definition of asylum.  He discusses that with Kent Garrett of WIOX Radio New York.  Their exchange follows a report from The Real News Network, which concludes that existing border resources are being mis-managed:
